These 5 are our CrossFit Iceni team we have entered into Battle of the Boxes an awesome team fitness competition held at Charter hall in Colchester on the 10th of April. The team are currently in the process of completing the 3 online qualifiers to see if they qualify for the finals in April.
People train CrossFit for all different reasons some want to compete in the sport of CrossFit to compete against each other in workouts whether that is at the highest level or just for fun in local competitions.
Another category of people who train CrossFit are people who want to use it to become fitter and stronger to apply this to their chosen sport, for example football players, Rugby players and MMA fighters.
By far the majority of people who train CrossFit are the people who just want a good workout for many different reasons some want to lose weight, others want to become better human beings being ready for whatever life is going to throw at them.
I started CrossFit because I loved the training style, I loved the variety and I wanted to become fitter and this was by far the most fun way to do it. Why am I still interested in training CrossFit there are 3 main reasons I now train CrossFit.
1) The main reason is the people I'm training with and the people I am surrounded by when I train they motivate me and push me.
2) I want to better myself I want to be a better human than I was yesterday and yes I want to look better!
3) Competition although I started in the category of just training for fun and to look better and become better I now want to compete against others not at the top level but for fun in teams just because it's a great day out and its something to aim towards in my training.
